Our Centre
Horizons Children's Centre is a small, humble home where orphans and needy children live together as a family. We provide:
- Food
- Shelter
- Education
- Clothing/Medical Care
HCC also offers a dynamic weekly program of activities for children, designed to meet their academic, social and emotional needs. Activities include:
- Computer classes
- Sports and recreation activities
- Drumming, dancing and music
- Mentoring from community members
- Leadership and life skills development
Education is the cornerstone of our program. Children attend local primary school in Sandema, and HCC covers all education-related costs, i.e. school fees, books, school supplies and uniforms. We also offer an after-school program at HCC, run by local teachers, who help the children with reading, writing and math.
In keeping with our mission of helping kids to reach their fullest potential, we are prepared to financially support children up to, and including, the college/university level.
Living at HCC, children learn values of cooperation, mutual respect and social responsibility. They boys' motto for the home is "One Family One Aim".
Support Us
Help support our goal of raising $70,000 to build a permanant home for HCC's children.
