Sandema Resource Centre
The Sandema Resource Centre was established in 2006 by HCC friend and Peace Corps volunteer Kip Clifton. It was the first computer centre in the town of Sandema. SRC aims to:
- Provide practical, valuable computer training to diversity the skill set of the youth in Sandema, many of whom struggle to find employment after secondary school
- Link the community of Sandema to the world through internet service provision
- Generate a modest income which can be channeled to HCC's charitable activities and increase our sustainability over time
SRC currently provides the community of Sandema with computer training, word processing/printing services, and photocopying services. We continue to explore options for a reliable and cost-efficient internet service in this remote, rural town.
